Our Mission

Our mission is to make Washington a better place to climb through advocacy, stewardship, and education.

Climbing is a privilege. We share climbing areas with other climbers, other users, land managers or property owners and, in some cases, neighbors. All of us must strive to take care of the places where we climb and maintain good relationships with others. When it comes to public lands, we also need to participate in broader political efforts or our interests will not be given priority.
The Washington Climbers Coalition invites climbers to join us in these efforts and we encourage climbers to follow safe and sustainable practices as they enjoy the great outdoors. Our future depends on it.

Our Promise

Keep Washington climbing vibrant by working with land managers and property owners on climbing issues, educating climbers about legal, environmental and resource concerns, and promoting climber stewardship of our cliffs and boulders.
